Oh Noez!, ZP GMD, me, idiot, sad, ^^, angel, Mad, ifail, confuzzled, rave lights, kewl, serious
I'm bored...

Well I called back the place again today but go figure the manager whom I spoke with wasn't in. I'll have to wait till tomorrow. Arg.

But yeah, I want to do something fun. Go out and do something that is relatively inexpensive with my friends. I miss my friend from out of the area too. I got to talk with Sabur the other night on IM for a moment, he deleted his LJ account for the fact that he never used it anyways. He's been really busy with college fun stuff but we hope he can come to visit soon again, if not then when when he gets out of schoolin this summer.

Theres something that I've been kinda wanting to try recently. Don't think too much into it, but I wanna try 'dumpster diving' of sorts. Not for food mind you. But just to see what misc furniture or random crap I might be able to find. It just kinda sounds fun. I wouldn't do it by myself, I'd be too nervous. But of course I'm not going to be diving head first into smell dumpsters, I just want to see what good ol freebies are left out behind thrift stores and apartment complexes.

I know I really don't NEED some furniture n things, but I dunno, I just wanna be able to see what I can get really I guess... =/

Not to mention that the job I'm applying for right now will have me basically cleaning peoples old throw aways anywho... XD

Dumpster diving sounds like it really could be a lot of fun! Wish I was closer, I would definitely go. I like to find old shit to turn into really cool new shit. Just be really careful not to get in trouble with the cops and SUPER careful about getting cut on broken items and stay out of anything that might have been used my a hospital(needles, dirty rags, brains etc.) You really don't wanna come in contact with anything that will make you sick. I would invest in some good gloved too. Oh and don't forget the gas mask XD.

lol you replied just as I shortened the whole thing down. XD

But yeah, I've done a bit of research already, and I kinda got a feel to the 'rules' about it really. Basically the only thing I really need to watch out for is places that have rules strictly against it.

It's really sad how many choice computer parts people throw out just because they're a few years old. It's really cool to save a computer from the scrapheap, and then give it to a friend who needs it.

I'm watching a dumpster diving community right now here on LJ, and I'm starting to get really jealous of all the random monitors and whatnot they find. I wouldn't mind having a dual monitor set up myself... ^^

The colleges are starting to clear out for the summer. Check into college dorms, sororities, apartment buildings intended for student use, etc. Lots of it goes to Value Village and Goodwill, and some of it just gets left outside doorways, on curbs, or near dumpsters. We always find great stuff when the college housing areas clear out.

Oh I would so dumpster dive with you. It is hello fun. I would do it in my neighborhood when I was a kid and find love letters, silver wear, couch cushions, old TVs, and stuff. My friends and I would drag it out and make a "club" in the woods. XD

I looove dumpster diving! I'll go! I've found lots of goodies, bookshelves, fun things, and all sorts of stuff covered in yucky gook that once hosed off was PERFECTLY GOOD.

There's a few in town that are really easy to get to, and are by apartment complexes (dumpsters are out in the open, though, risk of being spotted) the smaller apartment complexes are the best, since there's the most turnover and you find the neatest stuff that people just toss out instead of taking with them.

Dumpster diving..... Thats certainly not something that I would be interested in.

I do however happen to know someone that goes around town collecting select items and cheep goods in any way they can. So they can sell them on E-bay and craigslist for insane turn around profits most of the time. Oddly enough, they also make more cash per month then I do most of the time. o_O
